Breaking news concerning the Fifty Shades of Grey movie: Jamie Dornan will star as Christian Grey in the adaption of the widely popular book.

Dornan is a former Calvin Klein model, who’s biggest claim to fame so far is the role of The Huntsman in the popular tv series Once Upon a Time.

Although he’s also quite well-known for dating Keira Knightley for two years.

The signing of Dornan is not 100% definitive yet, but he is rumored to have been tested for the part opposite Dakota Johnsson (the actress who will play Anastasia Steele), in front of directer Sam Taylor-Johnson and author E.L. James.

If and when he is confirmed, Irish-born Dornan will step into the shoes of Sons of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam, who dropped out of the project recently. He supposedly did so due to a scheduling conflict, but the commonly accepted reason is that he couldn’t handle the many negative responses by fans who weren’t happy with him being cast as Christian.

Additionaly, it is rumored that he wasn’t happy with writer Kelly Marcel’s adaption of the book.

Hopefully for all the fans out there, Dornan won’t have any issues like these. Universal is eager to get started with filming sometime in the next few weeks, which would also be necessary if the movie is to be ready before the planned August 1st, 2014 release date.
